Memory

Memory is where Alma stores everything it has learned from your communication channels. As Alma processes your emails, Slack messages, calendar events, and other sources, it builds a structured knowledge graph of your organization.

How knowledge is built

When Alma reads a message like “Jane from Acme Corp mentioned they’re closing the Series B next month,” it extracts:

  • Jane as a person.
  • Acme Corp as a company.
  • A relationship — Jane works at Acme Corp.
  • A deal — Series B, associated with Acme Corp.
  • A timeline — closing next month.

Over time, these individual extractions compound into a rich understanding of your organizational landscape. Alma continuously updates this knowledge as new information arrives.

Memory views

Memory has two main views, accessible from the sidebar:

  • Activity — A chronological timeline of events from your connected sources.
  • Sources — An overview of connected data channels, processing stats, and file uploads.
