Home

Home is the first screen of the workspace. It answers three questions without being asked: what is waiting on you, what came of the decisions you already made, and what you can ask right now.

A greeting, today’s date, and four figures. Each figure is a way into the list it counts, not a decoration:

Figure Opens
waiting on you Tasks, Open
resolved this week Tasks, Resolved
actions Alma took for you Tasks, Resolved
snoozed Tasks, Snoozed

The strip and the Tasks panel below it read the same queue, so the two can never disagree about what is still open.

The prompt panel is a field you can type anything into — a question about an account, a correction, a job to start. Sending it opens a conversation in Chats; nothing is written until you send.

Under the field:

  • Also in — a chip for Claude, Slack and iMessage. A chip you have not reached Alma from yet opens its two-minute setup.
  • Recent chats — the conversations you had last, and a link to all of them.

What came of the decisions you already made, newest first: the result in one sentence, where it happened, and when. A row opens the task it came from, so “approved and sent” is one click from the thing that was sent.

This is the counterpart to the queue. Tasks is what still needs you; Done for you is the evidence that answering is worth it.

The few tasks still open, headed by how many are waiting. Every card opens that task — the third card in the list lands on the third task, not on the queue’s first row. When nothing is waiting the panel says so: Nothing waiting on you.

Until you have settled every step, Home is the Set up Alma checklist instead, with the prompt and Tasks beside it. The steps are:

  • Connect what this workspace needs — the personal accounts an implementer asked of you. Each one connects where it stands.
  • Add Alma to a chat app — Claude, ChatGPT or Slack.
  • Install Alma for Mac — tasks arrive in the corner of your screen.

A step ticks itself where Alma can see it is done — a verified Slack pairing, the Mac app signing in — and takes your word where it cannot. The stat strip, Done for you and Spaces come back once the checklist is settled.
