Credits, not seats
Alma bills on credits — model calls and tool calls workflows actually make — not on the number of people you invite. Inviting people is free, so invite the whole team and add Person records for everyone else. What costs is workflows running.
The plan meter
Shows your plan, interval, credits used, and a pace badge: On pace — comfortable, On pace past 80%, or Over the allowance.
Most alpha workspaces are on Beta, usage-based with no allowance — no meter bar, just “Usage-based — every run draws from the workspace balance.” That’s expected.
Invoices
Each invoice is described by its credits and month, with the current month marked (in progress). Receipts also go to the billing email.
Changing your plan
Coming soon. Manage plan doesn’t open a billing portal — it shows a notice that plan management is coming soon. To change plans, email help@alma.team. Nothing is charged from this page.

Keeping spend sane
Until the usage breakdown lands:
- Check ROI before enabling a workflow.
- Watch run volume on the Runs tab, which shows per-run cost.
- Pause a workflow that’s running away — it reverts to a draft and stops immediately.
- Pin cheaper models to steps that don’t need Opus. See step models.
