Your workspace
Most of this documentation is written for the people who configure Alma. This section is the other side of it: what a member meets when they open the workspace, and where each thing they can do lives.
A member never sees the Console. Their workspace is three sections and the things a workflow sends them.
The top bar
Section titled “The top bar”One row across the top, left to right: the workspace switcher, the sections, the Mac app, and your avatar.
- Home / Tasks / Chats are the sections. Tasks carries the number still waiting on you.
- Download for Mac becomes Open Alma for Mac once the desktop app has signed in as you. See Alma for Mac.
- Your avatar opens the account panel — who you are, the connections your workspace asks of you, the chat apps you can reach Alma from, and the way into personal settings. An amber ring on the avatar means a connection is still owed.
On a narrow window — under 900px wide, or under 520px tall — the sections fold
into one menu and the bar shows Alma › {section} instead.
The three sections
Section titled “The three sections”Reaching Alma from somewhere else
Section titled “Reaching Alma from somewhere else”Everything here is also reachable from the apps you already have open. The setup takes a minute or two each:
Alma sees what you can see in every one of them. A connected app reads your tasks, the topics your workspace has shared with you and the connections you have approved — never another member’s inbox.
