Chats
Chats is where you talk to Alma about anything that is not a task — what a workspace knows about a customer, why a workflow did what it did, a draft you want help with. The conversation under a task belongs to that task; everything else lives here.
The page is your conversations beside the one that is open. It is the same thread a task carries, so streaming, markdown, what Alma reasoned through and the tools it reached for behave identically in both places.
Starting one
Section titled “Starting one”New chat opens an empty transcript with a live field. Nothing is written until you send — an abandoned new chat leaves no trace. The first message is also what titles the conversation, so it appears in the list as soon as you send rather than when the answer finishes.
You can also start one from Home: whatever you type into Ask or tell Alma arrives here as the first message.
The list
Section titled “The list”A row says what a closed conversation can honestly say: the title, one line of the last message, when it last moved, and a dot while Alma has said something you have not read. Alma is replying… shows while an answer is still coming.
Search matches the title and the message text, which is why a term that appears only in an answer still finds the conversation. Sort offers most recent or by title.
Renaming and deleting
Section titled “Renaming and deleting”Both are on the conversation’s own overflow menu. Rename is an inline field committed with Enter. Delete asks first and then deletes for good — there is no undo, so none is offered.
A conversation that belongs to a task cannot be deleted here. That thread is part of the task’s record; archive the task instead.
Linking to one
Section titled “Linking to one”Each conversation has its own address, so Back walks the chats you opened and a link brings you to the same place. A conversation is your own, though — an address is not a share, and one that is not yours renders That chat isn’t here rather than someone else’s words.
Talking to Alma somewhere else
Section titled “Talking to Alma somewhere else”The same conversation is available from the apps you already have open — Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Slack and Alma for Mac. Alma sees what you can see in each of them, and anything that would change the world still comes back as a task for you to approve.
