Sources

The Sources view within Memory gives you a workspace-level overview of all connected data channels — which sources are active, who has connected them, and how much data has been processed.

Viewing sources

Navigate to MemorySources to see:

  • Available sources — Sources that can be connected but haven’t been set up yet.
  • Connected sources — Active sources showing processing stats, today’s activity, and which team members have connected.

Each connected source card shows the total events processed, a count of today’s activity, and the team members who have linked their accounts.

Source details

Click on a connected source to see a detailed view:

  • Connection status — Who has connected, with the option for others to connect.
  • Processing stats — Total events processed, today’s count, your personal count, and the date range of data.
  • Calendar browser — An interactive calendar showing which dates have events, letting you drill down to specific days.

Empty states

When a source is connected but hasn’t processed any data yet, the detail view shows a source-specific explanation of what Alma monitors for that source, along with a note that data will appear once activity is detected. The calendar browser and date navigation are hidden until real data arrives.

If a source isn’t connected at all, the detail view shows a prompt to connect your account along with a description of what the source provides.

Files

The Sources view includes a Files section where you can upload documents directly to Alma. Drag and drop files to upload them. Uploaded files are indexed and become searchable through chat and the knowledge graph, even if they didn’t come from a connected source.

PDF files are natively supported — Alma extracts the full text content from uploaded PDFs, making them searchable and available to agents just like any other uploaded document.

You can view, download, and delete uploaded files from this section.
