Billing & Plans
Alma uses a credit-pack subscription model. Each plan includes a monthly credit allotment sized to your team’s workload; consumption beyond that triggers overage charges at your plan’s rate.
Plans and packs
Each plan offers one or more pack sizes, letting you pick the credit allotment that matches your monthly usage. Visit your workspace’s Settings > Billing page to view the current plans, pack sizes, and pricing.
How credits work
Every AI operation Alma performs — chat sessions, responsibility executions, memory generation, insight extraction — consumes credits based on its underlying compute cost. The per-credit value is set by your plan.
Credits are derived at query time from usage data, not drawn from a pre-loaded ledger. There is typically a 6-12 hour reporting delay before new usage appears in your credit totals — this is expected and does not affect billing accuracy.
Usage warnings
Alma monitors your credit consumption within each billing period and surfaces soft warnings as you approach your plan limit. Warning thresholds are configurable per plan (default: 80% and 95%).
Overages
If your usage exceeds your plan’s included credits, the excess is tracked as an overage. Overage charges accumulate at your plan’s per-credit rate and are invoiced at the end of the billing period.
Trial period
New subscriptions may include a trial period. The remaining trial days are shown at the top of Settings > Billing.
Managing your subscription
Subscriptions are managed via Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade, change pack sizes, or update payment methods from Settings > Billing in your workspace.
