What agents can do
Once connected, agents have access to a broad set of PostHog capabilities:
- Query events — Run HogQL queries and retrieve event data for your project.
- Feature flags — List, inspect, and update feature flags.
- Experiments — View experiment results and stats.
- Session recordings — Access recording lists and metadata.
- Cohorts — Create and manage cohorts for targeted analysis.
- Dashboards and insights — Read and update dashboards, create new insights.
Connecting
PostHog uses API key authentication. You will need a PostHog Personal API key (or a project API key with appropriate permissions).
Generating an API key
- In PostHog, go to Settings → Personal API Keys.
- Click Create personal API key, give it a name, and copy the key.
Connection steps
- Go to Settings → Connections in Alma.
- Click Connect on PostHog.
- Enter your PostHog API key in the dialog and click Connect.
PostHog is an organization-level connection — once connected by an admin, all agents in the workspace can use it.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect on the PostHog connection card to revoke access. Agents will no longer be able to query PostHog data.
