Connecting Egnyte gives your AI agents secure, read-only MCP access to your content library. Alma continuously extracts knowledge from your files — building a structured understanding of the people, companies, projects, and deals referenced across your documents — and can trigger Claude-powered automations when content events occur.

Agent capabilities

With Egnyte connected, agents can:

• Search and read files in your Egnyte content library via MCP.
• Reference document context when executing responsibilities.
• Trigger automations when documents are created, shared, or updated.

Agents have read-only access — they can reference your files but cannot modify or delete content.

Connecting

1. Go to Settings → Connections.
2. Click Connect on Egnyte.
3. Authorize Alma with your Egnyte domain.

Egnyte is an organization-level connection — it’s set up once for the workspace.
