Connecting Google Calendar helps Alma understand your meetings, who you meet with, and scheduling context.

What Alma captures

  • Meeting details — Event titles, descriptions, times, and locations.
  • Attendees — Who is invited to each meeting.
  • Scheduling context — Recurring meetings, meeting frequency with contacts, and time patterns.
  • Relationships — Alma learns who you regularly meet with, strengthening its understanding of your professional network.

Connecting

  1. Go to SettingsConnections.
  2. Click Connect on Google Calendar.
  3. Authorize access with your Google account.

If you’ve already connected Gmail with the same Google account, Calendar may share the same authorization. Google Calendar is a personal connection.

Using Google Calendar as a responsibility trigger

You can create responsibilities that run automatically in response to calendar events. When you create a Google Calendar–triggered responsibility, Alma automatically backfills the last two weeks of calendar events so the agent has immediate context rather than waiting for the next event to occur.
